Right now in creative writing we do SSR. Everyday we get 10 minutes to read a book of our choice. We establish reading rates and every Friday out teacher, Mrs. Rutan checks to see what page we are on and gives us a grade as to if we are on the page we are suppose to be on. The book I am reading is called Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult. This book is about a murder case. A murder has been done and Peter (one of the main characters) are being accused of killing the person. They go to trial and Peter gets put in jail until they can actually prove it was him. They all accuse him because he keeps guns under his bed and talks about how he hates her (Josie Cormier) because she was suppose to be his best friend, the only one he has, and she turned on him to be a "popular". Now Josie is dead and everyone accuses Peter of the murder. This book has really set me on the edge of my seat. Whenever I read it, it's very hard for me to put it down and I don't even like to read.
